2000 honda 450 es wont shift.

So it was only a few years of riding after this that it all started again so not sure i want to put 200 in to my machine every 2 years for this shift problem. The motor fo. All connections have been greased and cleaned alone with a 2nd wireing harness ive tried. But because of the number of es machines that are sold and owned it sometimes seems that there are more difficulties with es shifting than with manual shifting.

Take the two bolts that hold it on off. I limped along with it for a ling time probably 4 years it would not shift down but if i shifted all the way up to 5th it would then shift. Unfortunately there has been one problem with es shifting that has affected many es owners at one time or another. Electric electric shift conversion kit for honda es models will bypass the angle sensor and shift computer converting it to a manual electric shift. It only has 12000 miles on it and does not see very hard use.

The problem is that at times when you make a shift up or down on an es machine the shift is not complete. Take a short screwdriver. The honda shop had it for almost a month. I replaced the ecu box the switch sensor too.
